9.7. Johannes “John” Blessing, son of Johann Georg Blessing, was born on April 14, 1832 in Sparwiesen, Donaukreis-Württemberg, Germany. He was a farmer’s son and he immigrated into the USA on August 27, 1853 after crossing the Atlantic Ocean on the ship called New York coming from Le Havre in France.
John married Maria Willyoungy, daughter of Michael Wolfjung and an unknown mother, about 1856 in the USA. Maria was the twin-sister of Catherine Willyoung.
She, her father and her twin-sister immigrated into the USA on May 14, 1828 after crossing the Atlantic Ocean on the ship called Parachute coming from Le Havre in France. She also had a half-brother Christian Willyoung from her father’s second marriage with Maria Liz Miller in 1941.
Maria was born on April 4, 1938 in Geiswiller in the Alsace in France.

10.1. [F] (i) Marie Ann (Anna) Blessing was born abt 1857 in New York. She married ??? Nash
10.2. [M] (ii) George A. Blessing was born abt 1859 in Nebraska.
10.3. [F] (iii)Emma Blessing was born on Febuary 9, 1861 in Dakota Co., Nebraska. She passed away on March 3, 1953 in Sioux City, Woodbury Co., Iowa. She was buried at the Eastview Park Cemetery in Allen, Dixon Co., Nebraska.
Emma married John Allen in 1879 in Dakoto Co., Nebraska. John was born abt. 1849 in Pennsylvania and he passed away at the age of 84 in May 1933 in Allen, Dixon Co., Nebraska. He is also buried at the Eastview Park Cemetery in Allen, Dixon Co., Nebraska.
The couple raised 7 children: 5 boys and 2 girls in Dixon Co., Nebraska. Sadly 2 of their sons passed away in infancy on November 7, 1892.
10.4. [F] (iv) Selina J. Blessing was born abt. 1863 in Nebraska.
Selina married Richard Twamley, son of George Twamley and Margaret Shortly, on May 30, 1883 in Nebraska. Richard was born on August 24, 1858 in Canada. He passed away in January 1924 in Dixon Co. Nebraska.
The couple raised 5 children: 4 boys and a girl in Clark, Dixon Co., Nebraska.
10.5. [F] (v) Ida A. Blessing was born on September 28, 1865 in Dakota Co., Nebraska. She passed away at the age of 44 on November 7, 1909 and was buried at the Graceland Park Cemeterey in Sioux City, Iowa.
She married Bert E. Crouch of whom it is assumed that he came from Idaho and lived from 1871 until 1949.
10.6. [F] (vi) Hattie E. Blessing was born about 1869 in Nebraska. She passed away well in her 60’s between 1930 and 1940 in South Sioux City, Dakota Co., Nebraska.
Hattie married Lewis H. Armbrecht (Armbright) about 1899 in Nebraska. Lewis was born in October 1861 in Nebraska. He passed away after 1940 because on the 1940 census he is listed as living with his daughter and son i/l.
The couple raised two girls while living in Dakota City, Dakota Co., Nebraska.
10.7. [F] (vii) Charles “Chas” William Blessing was born about 1871 in Nebraska.
10.8. [M] (viii) Elias Blessing was born abt. 1872 in Nebraska. Since no census records have been found listing him after April 1870, it is assumed that he passed away before April 1880 in Nebraska.
10.9. [M] (ix) Elmer Martin Blessing was born abt. 1874 in Nebraska.
10.10. [F] (x) Stella B. “Beatrice” Blessing was born abt. 1878 in Nebraska.
She married ??? Rhodes abt. 1927 after her mother passsed away. She had cared for her parents until they passed away. Marriage didn’t work out for her and a devorce was settled before 1940.
10.11. [M] (xi) Bert Blessing was born abt. 1881 in Nebraska. He is listed on the 1900 census, but after that no records mentioning him were found. This could mean that he passed away between 1900 and 1920.
