The Stevenson family on this page lived very close to Windsor. In their time the city was called New Windsor to avoid confusion with te already existing Old Windsor which was located further south.
They were not members of the Anglican Church, but were independant non-conformists. Their church was founded in the late 17th century and was situated on William Street in the north-eastern quarter of Windsor. Today there is still a protestant church at that location, newly build in 1990’s.

1.2. Jesse Stevenson , by his age as mentioned in the 1860 census of Michigan, was born late 1788 or early 1789 in Colnbrook, Buckinghamshire, England, UK.
The county where he was born and where he and his wife raised their children was Buckinghamshire. Due to an administrative border change some parts of that area are now part of the district of Slough and the district of Windsor and Maidenhead, both in the county of Berkshire, just west of Heathrow Airport.
Jesse passed away before 1870 in Michigan, USA because he is not mentiond on the 1870 census anymore.
Jesse married Mary Price in 1809 or 1810 in Buckinghamshire, England, UK. Mary was born about 1790 in Buckinghamshire, England, UK. She passed away after 1840 but before 1850 most likely in Ionia County, Michigan.

2.2. [M] (ii) George Stevenson was born on February 20, 1813 in Windsor, Buckinghamshire, England, UK.
2.3. [M] (iii) ??? Stevenson was born on September 4, 1814 in Windsor, Buckinghamshire, England, UK.
2.4. [F] (iv) Jane Stevenson was born late 1817 or early 1818 in Iver, Buckinghamshire, England, UK. She passed away at the age of 61 on February 25, 1879 in Ionia County, Michigan USA.
Jane married James Monell Kidd, son of William R. Kidd and Elizabeth Monell, on May 20, 1839 in Ionia County, Michigan, USA. James was born on November 13, 1813 in Orange, New York, USA. He passed away at the age of 95 on May 4, 1909 in Ionia County, Michigan, USA.
2.5. [M] (v) Edward L. Stevenson was born on April 18, 1819 in Iver, Buckinghamshire, England, UK.
2.6. [F] (vi) Jesse Mary Stevenson was born on November 12, 1821 in Colnbrook, Buckinghamshire, England, UK and christened there on July 21, 1822. She passed away at the age of 38 on July 14, 1860 in Ionia, Ionia Co., Michigan, USA.
Jesse Mary married Hampton Rich on November 11, 1840 in Ionia, Ionia Co., Michigan, USA. Hampton was born on December 1, 1815 in Sharon, Addison, Vermont. He passed away at the age of 84 on November 5, 1900 in Ionia, Ionia, Michigan.
The couple raise 2 sons and 3 daughters.
2.7. [F] (vii) Sarah Stevenson was born on September 21, 1823 in Buckinghamshire,England, UK and christened there in Colnbrook on July 4, 1824.
2.8. [F] (viii) Catharine Stevenson was born in 1827 and christened on April 29, 1827 in Horton, Buckinghamshire, England, UK. She passed away before the 1840 census was taken. On that census she is not mentioned as a member of Jesse’s household anymore but her sister Sarah is.
