A dual marriage because his brother Bronger married on the same day in the same church. Anna was christened on July 22, 1777 in Warffum. She passed away on June 8, 1836 in Pieterburen.

Jurrien was a soldier in the National Militia and he died in battle near ‘s-Hertogenbosch in the Province of Noord-Braband on June 11, 1831. This was during the war between Holland and Belgium. The battle near ‘s-Hertogenbosch, where the Dutch had their war-office was eventually lost by the Belgians and this was the turning point in the war.
