6.2. Jan Brongers Wiebenga, son of Bronger Jurjens (Wibinga), was born on November 24 and christened on December 1, 1805 in Pieterburen, Groningen, The Netherlands. He was a labourer and farmhand most of his life. He passed away at the age of 70 on May 14, 1875 in Rasquert, now part of Baflo.
Jan married Baike Heres Huisman, daughter of Here Jans Huisman and Klaasje Freerks Balk, on September 15, 1829 in Rasquert, Baflo, Groningen. Baike was born on September 14 and baptized on September 26, 1802 in Rasquert. It is typical for phonetical spelling to see the name Wibenga in the certificate and Wiebenga as signature.
Unlike many other labourers, housemaids and farmhands, both Jan and Baike must have finished primary school because they could read as well as write.
Baike worked most of here life as a housemaid and labourer. She was widowed for only 9 days when she passed away on May 23, 1875 in Rasquert.

7.1. [M] (i) Heere Wibinga was born on November 24, 1829 in Rasquert, Baflo, Groningen.

7.2. [M] (ii) Wiebe Wiebenga was born on July 29, 1832 in Rasquert, Baflo.

7.3. [F] (iii) Geeske Wiebenga was born on December 23, 1833 in Rasquert, Baflo.
Geeske married Karst Pot, son of Feike Pot and Freerkje Alberts Gorter, on February 28, 1857 in Baflo. Karst was born in 1829. They had 2 sons and a daughter who all emigrated to North America in 1890, 1891 and 1893 with their spouses and children.
Because death records could not be found, it is very likely that Karst and Geeske emigrated as well to be rejoined with their children.
7.4. [M] (iv) Pieter Wiebenga was born on January 21, 1836 in Rasquert, Baflo.

7.5. [F] (v) Klaaske Wiebenga was born on December 23, 1837 in Rasquert, Baflo. She passed away at the age of 1 on December 27, 1838 in Rasquert, Baflo.
7.6. [M] (vi) Jan Wiebenga was born on July 5, 1840 in Rasquert, Baflo. He was a farmhand. He passed away at the age of 83 on December 21, 1923 in Baflo.
Jan married Trijntje Poel, daughter of Klaas Alberts Poel and Froukje Geerts Meijer, on May 17, 1865 in Baflo.
Trijntje was born on June 24, 1839 in Baflo. At the time of her wedding she was a housemaid. She passed away on May 29, 1916 in Rasquert, Baflo.

7.7. [M] (vii) Klaas Wiebenga was born on August 13, 1842 in Rasquert, Baflo. He never married and passed away at the ge of 27 on September 10, 1869 in Rasquert, Baflo.
7.8. [M] (vii) Freerk Wiebenga was born on November 19, 1845 in Rasquert, Baflo.
Freerk married Pieterke Smit, daughter of Dirk Klasen Smit and Antje Hindriks, on May 24, 1873 in Baflo. Pieterke was born on March 6, 1848 in Uithuizermeeden, Groningen. They did not have any children and they emigrated to North-America in 1881.

6.5. Derk Tewes (Wibenga), son of Teeuwes Jurjens (Wibinga), was born on December 4 and christened on December 13, 1807 in Pieterburen, Groningen. After working most of his life as a labourer and farmhand he passed away at the age of 67 on February 25, 1872 in Pieterburen, now part of Eenrum.
Derk married Johanna Drewes Bakema, daughter of Drewes Levijs (Bakema) and Diewerke Rennes (Zaagman), on July 1, 1833 in Eenrum, Groningen. Johanna was born on February 4, 1812 in Eenrum. Johanna worked most of here life as a housemaid before she passed away at the age of 67 on February 25, 1879 in Pieterburen.

The marriage certificate contains the text that the governor has formally certified that Derk Tewes Wibenga has fulfilled his service in the National Militia, which was a precondition for the marriage at the time. Derk had more luck than his brother Jurrien, who died in battle.

7.10. [F] (ii) Anna Wiebenga was born on January 26, 1836 in Eenrum.
Anna married Johannes Sikkema, son of Gaje Geerts (Sikkema) and Margrieta (Grietje) Jans (Paize)(Peis), on July 20, 1861 in Eenrum. Johannes was born on February 3, 1836 in Pieterburen. Johannes Sikkema, his wife and 7 children emigrated to Fulton, Missouri, USA in 1883.

7.11. [F] (iii) Diewertje Wiebenga was born on May 9, 1838 in Eenrum. She passed away at the age of 34 on December 8, 1872 in Pieterburen.
Diewertje married Jakob Huizinga, son of Roelf Jakobs (Huizinga) and Hendriktje Douwes (Pier), on March 7, 1857 in Eenrum. Jakob was born on January 24, 1834 in Westernieland and he passed away on June 27, 1875 in Pieterburen.
Diewertje and Jakob had 7 children of which 4 died prematurely.
7.12. [F] (iv) Attje Wiebenga was born on June 1, 1840 in Pieterburen.
Attje married Roelof Huizinga, son of Homme Jakobs (Huizinga) and Alstje Gerrits (Vos), on October 5 , 1861 in Eenrum. Roelof was born on April 23, 1838 in Westernieland. Attje and Roelof had 5 children.
Since not further recods could be found of parents and children, it is very likely that they emigrated to the USA about 1880 in search of a better life.

7.13. [M] (v) Tewes Wiebenga was born on August 21, 1846 in Eenrum.

7.14. [F] (vi) Brechtje Wiebenga was born on January 3, 1850 in Eenrum. She passed away at the age of 13 on April 2, 1863 in Pieterburen.
7.15. [F] (v) Grietje Wiebenga was born on April 5, 1853 in Pieterburen.Eenrum. She passed away at the age of 21 on December 9, 1872 in Pieterburen.
Grietje married Jan Huizinga, son of Harm Jans Huizinga and Renske Jans Blaauw, on July 13, 18721 in Eenrum. Jan was born on March 15, 1849 in Wierhuizen.
Diewertje died on the day she delivered their baby-boy. Jan remarried to Henderiekje Dijkema on October 9, 1875 and he had 4 more children with her before they emigrated to Chicago, Illinois, USA in the year 1891.
